Second-year students carried out practical work on the laboratory’s protection relay panel, studying the basic configuration of a digital relay.
Students changed the settings of the current protection, measured the operating time and compared the result against the calculated value. They were asked to explain any difference between the measurement and the calculation.
The purpose of the exercise is to reinforce lecture material on real equipment.
